During my trip outside of Barcelona, I took many photos, particularly of the alleys of the Gothic quarter. I have an entire collection that will eventually become illustrations and I just happened to start with this one. I see a resssemblance with this neighborhood and that of our Montreal alleys. I was attracted the neon pink sign (and french) of the store constrasting with the yellow bricks and the lady sitting outside these narrow and tall alleys.

Lors de mon voyage à Barcelone, j'ai pris plusieurs photos, particulièrement dans les ruelles du quartier gauthique. J'ai toute une collection de photo qui deviendront éventuellement des illustrations et j'ai commencé avec celle-ci. Je vois une ressemblance entre ce quartier et celui de nos ruelles de Montréal. J'ai été attiré par la pancarte rose (et française) du magasin qui constraste avec le jaune des briques et la dame assise à l'extérieur entourer de ces ruelles étroites mais grand.
